Everyone had their own space and were able to be together without feeling like we were on top of each other. Location is ideal, short walk to Alex Bay and very near Golf Course. The owners were great to deal with and very responsive throughout our stay. Would highly recommend!

5/5 Jul 29-Aug 5, 2023   We've rented several homes in the Alexandria Bay area over the past 2 decades, and this property was easily the best we've ever seen. The pictures and description really don't do it justice. Our large group of twelve was easily accommodated, and we did not lack for anything in terms of amenities. It feels much larger than the exterior would hint, owing to the lower/basement level. Our family had room to spread out, with younger folk hanging out downstairs in the evenings playing games, while the older crowd could gather in the upstairs family room. Truly a wonderful property!

The kitchen was well stocked with absolutely everything needed for preparing meals and grilling. Sleeping accomodations were comfortable for a good night's rest. Bathrooms and laundry appliances were all top notch. Quiet, peaceful water way access with excellent fishing and docks for launching kayaks. The property exceeded my expectations and a place we would definitely return to again!

The home looks exactly like the pictures and is absolutely beautiful! They do a great job of making it feel very homey and very comfortable in gorgeous surroundings. The yard is beautiful and the docks are wonderful. The home was immaculate and had a lot of amenities in the kitchen to help make cooking our meals an absolute breeze. Highly, highly recommend!!

We had weather during our stay and wanted to still enjoy the outdoors, so Paul helped us find a tent to rent when I reached out to Paul: he went out of his way to help. Walking distance to downtown and the marina could not have been more convenient next door. Ample space outdoors for lawn games and hanging around a fire. Looking forward to coming back.

5/5  Aug 6 - Aug 10, 2022   Absolutely beautiful home. You have to come in person to enjoy this lovely home and it is much more spacious and attractive than you see in the pictures. Paul and Sue the house owner are very friendly and alway answer questions quickly, We rented their boat and it added extra fun for us. Paul is very responsible and explains how to navigate the boat in details to our capitan clearly with patience. After we left the house and heading to Niagara falls, Paul called us on personally to let us know what is the best way to drive so that we can continue to enjoy our trip along the way. Defiely a five star home and host. Thanks for everything, I will recommend it to all my family and friends.

It was very clean and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The boat dock was important to us and we couldn't have asked for it be more convenient. The kayaks were used almost daily as was the fire pit. There are lots of chairs available for sitting on the deck or around the fire pit. Great location for walking into town. It's obvious that Paul and Sue take pride in their property. Paul was very responsive when we had questions. A very pleasant experience all around. 8/9/2022 at 7:54 AM

It sounds silly but what was over the top were the amenities. There wasn't a dish, cooking item, or even bandaid that wasn't available if you needed it. Close to town, restaurants and shopping really convenient. If you rent this property, get a boat, easy access to the river and all the attractions! Paul and Sue are super hosts!    5/5 Perfect Family Retreat This property is beautiful and exactly as advertised. It is spacious and clean with everything you would ever need. We only went out one night because it was easier to stay in and everything we needed to cook was at our disposal. Plenty of room for boats and the surroundings are very bucolic.    5/5 Excellent experience! The property was all and more of what was advertised. Very clean, spacious inside and out, and a load of amenities. Property owner was very helpful and always available by text or phone if necessary. We did not need a lot of contact with the owner. They really laid everything out nicely. Accessibility to downtown Alexandria Bay was super easy. Take a boat, five-minute ride by vehicle, or a very nice 15-minute walk into downtown! This home was everything that was advertised and more. This was the first time that I had rented a home for a family vacation, and I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. The home was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for the 8 of us. It could easily accommodate 12 as advertised. The back deck was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy morning coffee and a glass of wine later in the day. The property manager/caretaker and owner were very easy to deal with. The property owner even called me to check in and make sure that everything was good. You can tell that the owner takes great pride in his property. Wonderful accomodations and attention to detail! 5/5   Stayed Aug 2018 Patrick S. Booked on Vrbo We had seven people staying for four nights (four adults, three children) and the house was great. Every time someone thought we had forgotten something we found it already at the house (coffee filters, BBQ equipment, sandwich griller...). This house is easily accessible to downtown (less than two mile walk), nice bay area for kayaking, fishing off the dock, it is just a nice place all around. Beatiful deck for coffee in the morning, unwinding in the evening. Paul and the caretaker, Melody, were great as well. The house alarm went off the last night we were there and Paul called immediately to make sure everything was OK (which it was, it must have been a glitch in the system). We were welcomed upon arrival by the home’s caretaker and provided a tour of the property as well as many suggestions for sight-seeing, grocery shopping, and exploring during our stay. Both the owner and caretaker made themselves available by phone throughout the week to answer questions about the home and area. The home was clean and well-decorated. Kitchen was well-stocked with all necessary utensils to cook and serve our meals. We enjoyed the view through the large windows and from the deck. We were thrilled to find kayaks were available for use and spent hours exploring Carnegie Bay. This house is beautiful! First class!! 5/5   Stayed Jun 2018 Ken Z.   This property is first class and beautiful. It has all the comforts of home. The location is great. It's very close to both town and to a public a boat launch, yet it is remote and quiet. The dock is very sheltered so getting to the main river is quick and easy.
